Our Story ...

How it all started...

Byram Bay Christian Church began as a community church over 100 years ago. It continued as a small Bible teaching church dedicated to spreading God’s word throughout Hopatcong. The church progressed for some time but then closed down for several years. During that time two of it’s faithful elders diligently kept up the building believing to see the Lord move and the church doors reopened for God’s word to be taught.

The Lord’s hand did move. Byram Bay Christian Church was reopened in July of 2007 for Friday night Bible studies. Attendance grew steadily and with it a strong leading to begin holding Sunday services.

Byram Bay Christian Church began over a century ago as a Bible teaching community church, and today the elders at BBCC work to carry on the mission as the Lord leads.

Where we are headed...

The Lord… is not willing that any should perish. (2 Peter 3:9)
We at Byram Bay Christian Church are committed to reaching people for the Kingdom of God. Our mission is the same as that of our Lord Jesus Christ, “to seek and to save the Lost”.
And he, (Jesus), said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”. (Mark 16:16).

BBCC is an outreach church whose mission is to take the Good News locally to the community of Hopatcong, and the surrounding towns, regionally to Sussex and Morris Counties, New York City, globally to India, and the world.
