Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."

Acts 2:38-29

Celebrating New Life &
Public Declarations of Faith

Every year, our families and friends gather for a special day of baptism, food, and fellowship.

We begin our time together surrounding the pool to witness and celebrate as brothers and sisters in Christ publicly declare their faith through water baptism. After the service, we spend the afternoon enjoying a poolside cookout, sharing a giant spread of food, and spending unhurried time together in fellowship as a church family.

Seeing the Holy Spirit move our young people's hearts was one of this year's event's most moving moments. In addition to the adult baptisms we planned on, a number of kids felt led to affirm their dedication to living as followers of Jesus through getting baptized as well.

With parents, friends, and church family supporting them, we are reminded that the promise of the gospel is alive and active in every generation when we witness the next generation taking charge of their faith proclaiming it publicly.

"Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
1 Timothy 4:12
